Our Work in Action
We believe accessibility grows through relationships and real presence. We show up as speakers, facilitators, consultants, and accessibility partners - sharing lived experience, supporting community spaces, and helping create environments where everyone feels welcome.
Active Engagements
Proud Accessibility Partner for Plattsville’s 175th Anniversary
The Ability Company is honoured to serve as the Accessibility Partner for Plattsville’s 175th Anniversary Celebration, taking place on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
For nearly two centuries, the village of Plattsville has been shaped by hardworking families, local businesses, volunteers, and neighbours who care deeply about one another. This milestone celebration is an opportunity for the community to honour its past, celebrate its present, and invest in a future where everyone belongs
The anniversary event will bring the community together through heritage displays, family activities, music, storytelling, and moments to welcome home those with roots in Plattsville. As the Accessibility Partner, The Ability Company will support this vision by ensuring the celebration is welcoming, accessible, and inclusive for all attendees.
Our team will be training event volunteers using our relationship‑focused, education‑driven approach—building awareness, strengthening confidence, and equipping the community with practical tools to create a more inclusive event experience.
We are proud to contribute to a celebration that reflects the heart of Plattsville: connection, community, and belonging for everyone.

A Legacy of Connection
This Collaboration honours Joshua Andrew Beer through a legacy collaboration rooted in real connection, caregiving, and lived inclusion. Josh connected with the world through joy, music, laughter, and presence — reminding us that understanding is not measured by words, but by how we show up for one another.
Created in his honour, this collaboration reflects the belief that connection matters and that meaningful relationships can create lasting impact. In gratitude for the unforgettable experience Make‑A‑Wish gifted Josh and his family, all profits from this collaboration are donated to the Make‑A‑Wish Foundation, as chosen by his parents.
This is our first legacy collaboration and will remain available through the end of 2026.
