Taking the ‘dis’ out of disability
Transforming perceptions of disability through lived experience, storytelling, and community. The Ability Company is disability‑led, caregiver-led, Indigenous‑led, and women‑led — founded by sisters Patricia, who lives with Cerebral Palsy, and Jennifer, a lifelong caregiver. Together, they blend lived experience, cultural identity, and community care to amplify the voices of adults with disabilities and caregivers, shift narratives, and build spaces where inclusion is practiced, not just promised.
We are Indigenous women — one living with a disability, the other a caregiver — building a purpose‑driven business rooted in identity, lived experience, and the belief that community is essential to inclusion. As a proud member of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB), we are committed to economic empowerment, representation, and Indigenous leadership.
Everything we create reflects who we are and the future we’re working to build: a future where people with disabilities and caregivers are respected, included, and deeply valued. We’re more than a brand — we’re a movement grounded in representation, relationship, and possibility.
