About Us

Who We Are

We are Indigenous women, one living with a disability, the other a caregiver — building a business rooted in lived experience and community care and reflects who we are and what we believe.

This is The Ability Company — a minority-owned enterprise and proud member of the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB). Founded by Patricia Ferreira, who lives with Cerebral Palsy, and her sister Jennifer, a dedicated caregiver, we use our lived experience to challenge perceptions and drive change.

We offer inclusive services that support adults with diverse abilities and their caregivers — from community, education, travel and event inclusivity. Our purpose-driven products are designed to spark conversation and celebrate difference.

We commit 5% of every sale — product or service — to Indigenous communities supporting people with disabilities. Because giving back isn’t an extra — it’s built into our business.

We’re not just a brand. We’re a movement. Taking the “dis” out of disability — one bold idea at a time.
