We All Belong in the Circle: Stepping Into the Sun Together
There is something powerful about the sun. It rises each day without asking who is worthy of its warmth. It does not decide who belongs or who it shines on. It simply shows up — steady, constant, and inclusive.
And yet, in our world, belonging has not always worked that way.
June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to reflect, to listen, and to continue learning — not only about the past, but about the living, evolving stories, voices, and truths that shape the present.
At The Ability Company, we carry this reflection personally. We are an Indigenous-owned business, proud members of Caldwell First Nation and the Turtle Clan. Our work is rooted in community, in story, and in the belief that inclusion is not automatic — it is something we must choose, build, and nurture every day.
This belief is what brought our shirt, “We All Belong in the Circle,” to life.
At the center of this design is the sun, a reminder of something both simple and powerful: there is space for all of us here.
This piece was created with intention, which is why we are releasing it through a pre-order first. From June 3 through June 8, we are inviting our community to be part of that process. Pre-ordering allows us to move thoughtfully. It helps us reduce overproduction, create with care, and ensure that each piece is made with purpose rather than excess.
After this initial pre-order window closes, the shirt will return on June 21 — National Indigenous Peoples Day — and remain available throughout the summer, continuing the conversation it was designed to carry.
This is not about speaking for anyone else’s story. It is about holding space for a shared truth we believe in deeply: belonging should never be something people have to fight for. Inclusion should never be conditional. Our circles should always have room to grow.
As we step into the sun this month, we do so with intention. To keep learning. To listen more deeply. To continue building spaces where people feel seen, respected, and welcomed as they are.
Because when we say, “We all belong in the circle,” it is not just a statement.
It is the work we are committed to, every single day.
