November: Gathering with Ability
As the season shifts and gatherings begin, we’re embracing the warmth of connection with our theme: Ability Gathering. From now through December 31st, we’re celebrating the many ways our communities come together—whether around a table, through shared stories, or in circles of support. This month’s newsletter kicks off a season of reflection, celebration, and inclusion.
This month also marks the arrival of our Holiday Drop, filled with festive, inclusive designs that celebrate the season in bold and beautiful ways.
Because to gather means everyone can—with care, creativity, and community.

Ability Gathering
This time of year is all about gathering—around tables, traditions, and the people who matter most. At The Ability Company, we believe that gathering should be more than just coming together. It should be about making space for everyone, especially those who are often left out.
That’s why our November–December theme is The Ability Gathering. It’s a celebration of togetherness, inclusion, and the power of community. Whether it’s a cozy night in with loved ones, a virtual check-in with a friend, or a shared moment with your circle of support, gathering is an act of care—and everyone deserves to be part of it.
We’re also excited to introduce our Holiday Drop, a collection of festive, inclusive designs that reflect the joy of the season and the beauty of difference. From cozy shirts to meaningful cards, each item is created with love and intention, reminding us that the holidays are brighter when everyone is included.
As we enter this season, let’s remember that not everyone feels surrounded by warmth. For many, this time of year can be isolating. So we invite you to gather with purpose: ask questions, be open, and lead with love. Inclusion starts with intention—and it grows through connection.
Because to gather means everyone can—with care, creativity, and community.
Quote of the Month
“This is the power of gathering: it inspires us, delightfully, to be more hopeful, more joyful, more thoughtful—in a word, more alive.”

Journal of the Month: Maybe You Just Need an Additional Circle — One That Understands
The holidays are a time of joy, connection, and tradition—but for many disabled people and caregivers, they can also bring quiet loneliness. Not because they’re alone, but because their experiences aren’t always fully understood.
That’s why we created Ability Circles—a space where you don’t have to explain yourself. Whether you're a disabled person or a caregiver, our Bear and Owl Circles offer community, empathy, and a place to be seen.
This season, give the gift of Circles—to yourself or someone you love. Because sometimes, the most meaningful gift isn’t something wrapped—it’s being surrounded by people who truly understand.

Word of the Month: Gather
To come together, to connect, to create space for every voice, every story, and every kind of ability.
At The Ability Company, gathering means more than being in the same room—it’s about building circles of care, celebrating differences, and making sure no one is left behind. Whether it’s around a table, through a screen, or in spirit, gathering is how we grow stronger together.

Service Spotlight: Ability Circles
At The Ability Company, we know that connection isn’t just nice to have—it’s essential. That’s why we created Ability Circles, vibrant communities designed to support, uplift, and understand.
Now enhanced and more intentional than ever, Ability Circles offer two distinct spaces:
Bear Circles – for disabled adults who want to connect in a space that honors their lived experience, celebrates their wins, and holds their challenges with care.
Owl Circles – for caregivers navigating the complexities of support, love, and exhaustion, and seeking a space where they’re truly understood.
Each Circle includes:
Monthly live virtual sessions
Guest speakers and workshops
A welcoming book club
Opportunities for networking and storytelling
A community built on empathy, not explanation
Ability Circles aren’t here to replace your current circle—they’re here to add to it. Whether you already have support or are seeking it, these spaces are designed to meet you where you are and walk with you forward.
Because gathering isn’t just about being in the same room—it’s about being seen, heard, and valued.
